Welcome to the Jaswal Lab
Our goal is to expand the study of protein folding, stability, and dynamics to previously inaccessible regions of the proteome by exploiting native-state hydrogen exchange mass spectrometry (HXMS).

![]() Amherst College provides an excellent environment for doing our science. Our community of 1800 students and about 200 faculty across nearly 40 fields of study occupies a 1000 acre campus adjacent to downtown Amherst nestled among the 5 Colleges in the Pioneer Valley
![]() Our lab is housed in the Chemistry Department on the 2nd floor of the New Science Center. Several associate and thesis lab members have been students I taught in Intro Chem, and several have been Chem majors.
![]() Students from the Biochemistry & Biophysics Program (BCBP) have pursued thesis projects in our lab every year since the inception of the program in 2010-2011. ![]() Biomath fellows from the NSF-funded Four College Biomath Consortium (4CBC) have participated in our collaborations with Dr. Amy Wagaman (since 2011) and Dr. Tanya Leise (since 2015) from the Amherst College Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
